A LEVEL CONGRATULATIONS
A LEVEL RESULTS 2022
Many congratulations to all of our Year 13 students for a fantastic set of A level results this year.
We are especially proud of their achievements given the disruption caused by the pandemic to their education and learning in their Years 11 and 12 and that these results represent their first ever public examination performance.
34.5 % of all entries were A* grades - This is higher than the predicted midway point between 2019 and 2021 results that Ofqual was aiming for, and against the trend reported by the national press in terms of a downward trend for the highest grades.
64.9 % of all entries were A* or A grades
86 % of entries were A*- B grades
95.3 % of entries were A*- C grades
100% of entries were A*-E grades
48% of students achieved AAA or higher. Of those, 19% of students achieved A*A*A* or more (43 students)
The vast majority of our Year 13 students are taking up places at university this autumn, for a wide variety of courses ranging from languages, humanities, Law, communications, business and marketing, and the social sciences to stem based courses such as computer science and engineering. We also have 37 students going on to study medicine, dentistry or veterinary science from this and last year’s cohort. We are delighted that two students will be undertaking an Art Foundation, two are going to highly esteemed drama schools and one student has been accepted for a Higher-Level apprenticeship.
These results and exciting onward destinations are testament to the huge amount of effort and work put in by all students and staff over the past years: we are very proud of you all.
